Healthy Teeth Happy Families

We are happy to let you know that we have identified another location for our project titled : Healthy Teeth Happy Families. Name of the location: Rohi Foundation HSR Layout - Orphanage School strength: 36 children and 15 adults This project is outlined under WHOs Oral Health Framework. We propose to take this project forward with formation of a project committee and have timely meetings to ensure smooth execution of the program. We would like to begin with the first phase with an *ONLINE ORIENTATION MEETING* involving all the stakeholders of this project, which is scheduled for 23.02.26 Monday between 9am to 10am. Our subsequent plan for this project would be : 1. 1st visit - for the dental outreach program at Rohi Foundation on 25.02.26 ( Wednesday). 2. 2nd visit - in 4th week of March - for Oral Hygiene Kit Distribution for our beneficiaries after procurement of the same

Plantation drive at Sundarvana

Big success at Sundarvana today! 🌳 Over 100 participants, including VIBGYOR High School students, joined storytelling session and awareness drive on urban forestry. They got insights into Sundarvana, our project transforming a garbage dump into a green oasis in HSR Layout via the Miyawaki method. Hands On CSR team drove the plantation and cleanup efforts. My New Wardrobe Avenue- Community Services Date - 9th Dec 2025 Beneficiaries - 300 plus Preloved Cloths donated - 500 plus. Rotarians attended- 2 - Treasurer Rtn. Sashidhar , Director Services Rtn. Sajida Rotary HSR successfully conducted its flagship initiative My New Wardrobe, a pre-loved clothing donation drive at Diya Ghar NGO, Begur, supporting children and families from economically weaker communities. Through the collective efforts of Rtn. Sajida who collected the preloved cloths and special thanks to Rtn. Sashidhar helped in execution of project and President Rtn. Vanraj for the support, over 500 clean, good-quality clothes were collected, sorted, and distributed with dignity to 300 beneficiaries, covering children, women, and men. The drive created meaningful impact by reducing the financial burden on families, promoting sustainability, and strengthening Rotary HSR’s collaboration with Diya Ghar NGO. we successfully concluded a joint project between Inner Wheel Club of Bengaluru HSR and Rotary Bengaluru HSR at Jiggala Village. The project featured a captivating coffee painting session conducted by talented artist Miss Shakthi for 25 women enrolled from tailoring class and from the village . The session was expertly led, and the artist also took the opportunity to analyze the paintings, revealing the subconscious beliefs of the creators. The event was a huge success, with all participants enthusiastically engaging in the painting activity. To encourage creativity, four prizes were awarded for the best paintings, and snacks and sweets were served. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Inner Wheel Club of Bengaluru HSR and Rotary Bengaluru HSR for their collaboration and support. Tree Plantation Drive Launched Under Urban Greening Initiative Hallanayakkanahali | August 10, 2025 As part of its Urban Greening Initiative, Rotary HSR, Hallanayakkanahali Grama Panchayat, and ESAF Foundation have jointly launched a large-scale tree plantation drive aimed at enhancing green cover and contributing to climate change mitigation. The initiative will see the planting of nearly 750 saplings across key locations, including the lake premises, unused public spaces, and along streets, to promote environmental sustainability and improve the local ecosystem. Fistful of Rice Campaign : Rotarians Come Together for Community Service Event A heartwarming event was organized on Saturday, 30th August, bringing together students, fellow Rotarians, faculty, and staff to celebrate the spirit of giving and community service. The event highlighted the collective efforts of students from BCR Public School, who participated in the "Fistful of Rice Campaign" from 11th August to 29th August to support Shree Ramana Maharishi Academy for the Blind. Through this initiative, the students collected 175 kgs of rice. Rotary Bengaluru HSR donated 208 kgs of rice, and Rotarian Ashriths family generously donated 125 kgs of rice. Combining these contributions, a total of 508 kgs of rice was donated to support the academy.
